PlayStation launched their rewards program Sony Rewards in 2010. Anyone can join for free and will be granted 100 points for downloading the app. You will earn 1 point per $1 spent on qualifying movie purchases that can be exchanged for rewards like games, movies, collectibles, and merchandise.
The earned points can be redeemed for discounted and free items, and collectibles during the time of purchase on the Sony Rewards app.

To get enrolled in the Sony Rewards program, you need to create a new profile by visiting sonyrewards.com or Sony Rewards app and providing valid details to complete the enrollment process.

How Does Sony Rewards Work?
With the Sony membership card, you can start earning points for each qualifying purchase of games, movies, and music from the retail store or through the app. The points can be earned for downloading movie tickets, referring a friend, and linking accounts with social media. The collected points can be redeemed for top games, limited-time offers, and gadgets.
The members automatically earn 1 point for purchases made through Sony Visa Credit Card or PlayStation Visa Credit Card. For certain purchase categories, 2X-5X points can be earned on card purchases.
If you fill out the Bonus Point Form in the My Account section of the app, you will receive additional 4 points per dollar.
You can collect points by uploading movie tickets from Sony movies through the app.
- Go to the Earn section of the Sony Rewards app.
- Select Upload Movie Section.
- Click Ticket Uplaod button.
- Take a picture of the selected movie.
- Click “Submit”.
You can upload up to 10 movies per month. Additionally, if you register 5 eligible discs and purchase them, you will get a free movie reward.

What Can I Get With Sony Rewards Points?
With the collected points, the members can redeem items like movies, gift cards, electronics, games, and sweepstakes from the Rewards catalog on the app. The major rewards will be seen on the Shop Catalog and Deals and Steal categories of the Redeem section on the app.
The ultimate rewards include ShowStoppers, Superfan, and Winner’s Circle which contains bonus rewards like quizzes, entertainment with prizes.
For example, After you place your bid for the ShowStopper successfully, you will win the auction followed by email notification and the points will be deducted from your account.

How To Redeem Sony Rewards?
On the home page of the Sony Rewards app, Click the “Store” button ad select the “Redeem Codes” option where you can redeem the PlayStation network cards and voucher codes. Enter the 12 digit code provided and the code value will be displayed. Then, select the “Confirmation” button and click “Continue”.
After redemption, you can download the reward and complete the purchase.
Your current point balance will be displayed on your dashboard or the Point Activity section under My Account. All the points will expire 5 years after they are earned.
