MGM Resorts has a new loyalty program called MGM Rewards that has launched in February 2022. Anyone can join for free and earn 1 point per dollar spent on eligible stays in MGM Reward destinations.
You can achieve an elite status level by earning maximum points or booking. The points can be exchanged for hotel stays, food, beverage, entertainment, and spa experiences. The members will get offers like Complimentary tickets for concerts, room upgrades, Military discounts, member-only events, show reservations, and Senior discounts.
What You Get With MGM Reward Points?
The collected points can be redeemed for several purposes including hotel stays, entertainment, complimentary dining, gaming, and shopping at MGM resort destinations. You can also use points for experiences, special offers, and members-only events.
Get MGM Holiday Gift WIth Points
The collected MGM points can be redeemed for merchandise at the Holiday Gift Shoppe event. Members will receive 100 gift points for every slot dollar earned at any MGM destination.
You can win gift points during exclusive events, and earn bonus points during the offer period. The redemptions must be made in person. Some of the Holiday gift options are mentioned below.

Get BETMGM With Points
You can use the points earned through BETMGM online wagering for room stay booking, dining, events, sports, or casino. The members can convert BETMGM points to MGM Reward points at an exchange rate of 1.25x.
For example, players can exchange 2000 BETMGM points for $25 MGM points or $25 sports, casino, or poker bonus.
Slot Dollars
Slot Dollars that are earned by playing slots and video pokers can be redeemed for FREEPLAY at participating MGM resort locations. The members will receive exclusive FREEPLAY promotions and offer at participating casinos.

There are 5 tier membership levels available for members that consist of Sapphire, Pearl, Gold, Platinum, and NOIR. To reach each tier level, you need to earn a specified point level that ranges from 20,000 to 200,000 credits.

Sapphire (Entry Level)
Sapphire is the basic membership level in which members can earn up to 19,999 tier credits on qualifying purchases. The members can enjoy benefits like reservations, MGM Moment access, Cruise offers, and member-only exclusive deals.
Pearl (20,000 Points)
When you collect 20,000 points you will be upgraded to Pearl status which helps you to enjoy all the Sapphire level benefits and more benefits like a 10% bonus on Slot Dollars and Complimentary parking.
Gold (75,000 Points)
Once you accumulate 75,000 points you will reach Gold status. The benefits like exclusive tier appreciation event, VIP line, $100 dining credit, and no expiry of points can be enjoyed as a Gold member.
Platinum (200,000 Points)
Platinum members own 200,000 points and receive perks in addition to Sapphire, Pearl, and Gold benefits including a 30% bonus on Slot Dollars, $200 dining credit, late check-out, Suite upgrade, and $600 air credit.
NOIR (Invitation)
NOIR is the elite status of MGM Tier level membership. NOIR members can enjoy all the 4 tier benefits and additional perks including upgraded cruise service, 40% bonus on Slot Dollars, $500 dining credit, and $1200 air travel credit.
How To Earn MGM Rewards Points?
The members can earn MGM Reward points on non-gaming and gaming activities including directly booked stay, food, beverage, slots, video lottery terminals, and table games at MGM resort destinations.
The earning rate of non-gaming activity is 1 point per $1 spent and for MGM tier credits, you can earn 4 points per $1 spent on purchases.
Earn Through Gaming
Members will earn Slot Dollars by playing slots, video lottery terminals, and video poker machines. The earning rate of Slot Dollars depends on the length of play, game type, and average bet.
You can use Freeplay which is a type of electronic cash to play your favorite slot machines.
Earn Through Non-Gaming
The members can earn points for every expenditure at retail MGM casinos. The earning rate would be 1 point per $1 spent which is worth $0.01.
MGM members can earn rewards everywhere they make purchases with MGM Mastercard. You can also earn tier credits that upgrade your status to a higher level and receive exclusive benefits to cardholders.

Earn Tier Credits
In addition to points, members can earn status tier credits through stays, gaming, gambling, purchases, and promotions. The more credits you earn will reach you to elite status and unlock more benefits.
Earn Through Gaming
Members can earn tier credits through gaming activities including video poker. The earning rate depends on the length of the play, game type, and average bet size.
Earn Through Non-Gaming
Non-gamers are also able to earn tier credits by booking stays, dining, or making purchases. They can earn 4 tier credits per $1 spent. By playing table games, you can earn up to 4 points or 4 tier credits per $1 spent at playing each game.
The members can earn 3x tier credits for promotional offers which will be rewarded for a specific period. For example, there is an upcoming promotion from August-October 2022 in which members can earn more credits by using the offer.
Another way to earn credits is to book a stay at Hyatt properties. The members can earn 8 tier credits per $1 spent at participating hotel locations. To activate this, you need to join the World of Hyatt loyalty program.
You can earn points and credits by betting on sports events through BETMGM. After taking part in a bet, you will receive points as well as an equivalent amount of tier credits at the same time. For a $100 bet, you will get 20 points and 20 credits.
As per a current promotional offer, MGM members can earn 2x tier credits at Las Vegas Resorts which is applicable for gaming and non-gaming spending.
How To Redeem MGM Reward Points?
The members can redeem the points by presenting their cards at the desk in MGM resort destinations. To redeem points through the app, you can select the available offer and click the “Redeem” button to activate the offer.
MGM reward points do not expire for Pearl, Platinum, and NOIR members. However, for Sapphire members, the points can expire after 6 months of inactivity.
MGM Rewards Membership Management
Anyone above 21 years can join the program for free and to create an account you need to build a profile by adding an email address, phone number, and other valid details. You can visit mgmresorts.com or download the app for enrollment.
How To Sign Up
The members need to provide a valid ID to activate their membership at participating MGM reward destinations. After creating an account, open the MGM Resort website or MGM app, you can start booking room stays, dining and earn points and credits.
How To Cancel
After logging in to your account, click the “My Account” tab and select the “Delete Account” option. Then select “Confirm” to cancel your membership.
