ASUS Expertbook vs Zenbook (Which One is Better?)

Expertbook and Zenbook are two popular models of Asus laptops that cater to consumers who are looking for ultra-portable yet powerful laptops with long battery life.

Both ASUS Zenbook and ASUS Expertbook are excellent laptops, but they are designed for different use cases. Zenbook is ideal for people who value portability and design, while Expertbook is better suited for business users who need a more powerful and durable laptop. We hope this comparison has helped you make an informed decision about which laptop is right for you.

Design and Build Quality

ASUS Zenbook is known for its sleek, ultra-portable design. It is thinner and lighter than the ASUS Expertbook, making it ideal for people who are always on-the-go. Zenbook’s body is made of aluminum alloy, which gives it a premium feel and durability. On the other hand, ASUS Expertbook is designed to be sturdier and more durable than Zenbook, as it is intended for business use. Expertbook has a magnesium-aluminum alloy body, which makes it stronger and less prone to damage.

Display

The display is one of the most important features of any laptop, and both ASUS Zenbook and ASUS Expertbook offer impressive displays. Zenbook has a 13.3-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It also has slim bezels, which give it a more modern look. Expertbook, on the other hand, comes with a 14-inch full HD display, also with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The larger screen size can be beneficial for users who need to multitask or work with larger files.

Performance

When it comes to performance, both laptops are powered by Intel processors. However, the ASUS Expertbook has more powerful processors than the ASUS Zenbook, making it better suited for heavy workloads. Expertbook comes with an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, while Zenbook has an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. Expertbook also has more RAM than Zenbook, with up to 32GB of DDR4 memory, compared to Zenbook’s maximum of 16GB.

Battery Life

ASUS Zenbook has a longer battery life than ASUS Expertbook, thanks to its smaller screen size and less powerful components. Zenbook can last up to 12 hours on a single charge, making it ideal for people who are always on-the-go. Expertbook, on the other hand, has a battery life of up to 9 hours, which is still impressive, but not as long as Zenbook.

Ports and Connectivity

Both laptops come with a good selection of ports, but there are some differences. ASUS Expertbook has more ports than Zenbook, including a USB Type-C port, an HDMI port, an Ethernet port, and a microSD card reader. Zenbook, on the other hand, has fewer ports, but it does come with Thunderbolt 4 support, which allows for faster data transfer and charging.

Iris Xe is faster as it’s on-board but the Nvidia cards have more memory and operate on separate power. With far less power consumption, Iris Xe graphics is the best choice for battery life.

Having said that, in real life experience Iris graphics would perform any task that requires decent graphics. Many games would run perfectly well on Iris Xe graphics at a low to mid frame rate although the Nvidia card would perform better.
