What You Get with Hilton Honors Points
Hilton Honors members can use earned points to redeem free night stays, shopping rides experiences and transportation. A standard reward for a free night starts at 5000 points and at the top tier it may cost up to 120,000 points.
For example, a reward night Hilton stay at Conrad Chicago will require 57,000 points to be redeemed.
Using the Points and Money option, you can book a room with lesser points with a lesser amount, that is, instead of paying 20,000 points you can use 8,000 points and $30 for a stay.

For elite members (silver tier or above), Hilton Honors reward a free fifth night when they redeem points for a stay of five or more nights. If the booking is made up to 20 nights, four free nights will be rewarded.

Car Rentals & Airline Miles
The other ways to use points are using car rental services with Alamo, National, and Enterprise. You can also transfer your points to airline partners. For example, you can convert 10,000 points to receive 1500 airline miles.
You need to provide your Hilton Honors number when you reserve a car rental service. For a qualifying rental, members can earn 500 base points per day.
You will receive discounts for using car rental services including a 5% discount at Enterprise and Alamo and a 10% discount at National.
The minimum redemption amount for car rental service is 12,000 points. The points are worth 0.2 cents each with car rental options.
Lyft Credits
Hilton partners with Lyft which helps to earn and redeem points when pairing your accounts. You can exchange points for Lyft credits in increments ranging from $10 to $100.
Amazon Purchases
Hilton has partnered with Amazon so that the members can use their points for Amazon purchases. There is no fee for using your eligible points on Amazon. You need to link both the accounts and select the points as your payment method during checkout.
The points are worth 0.2 cents each with Amazon, that is, 500 Hilton points equals $1 in Amazon.
After completing the Amazon purchase, you can proceed to check out and select the number of points you need to apply for the purchase as a payment option. When placing the order, the points will be converted to dollars and deducted from your check-out total in the “Order Summary” box.

Member (0-6 nights)
Member is the entry-level membership status in which members can earn 10 base points per dollar spent on booking stays. The members can enjoy benefits like free wifi, discounts on booking, and a digital key for the room.
Silver (7+ nights)
By reaching Silver status, you can earn 12 points for every dollar spent. When you stay for 7 nights, 3 stays, or earn 17,500 points per year, you can achieve silver status. In addition to Member perks, you will get free bottled water, 20% earning bonus points, and rollover nights.
Gold (28+ nights)
Gold-level status members can earn 18 points per dollar spent on booking. When you stay for 28 nights, 14 stays, or earn 52,500 points per year, you can achieve gold status. In addition to Member and Silver perks, you will get 80% earning bonus points, food and beverage credit, and room upgrades.
Diamond (42+ nights)
By reaching Diamond status, you can earn 20 points for every dollar spent. When you stay for 42 nights,21 stays, or earn 84,000 points per year, you can achieve diamond status. In addition to Member perks, you will get premium wifi, room upgrades, and 100% earning bonus points.
Additionally, the members of gold status can gift their status to any members when they complete 40-night stays in a calendar year at any Hilton location. Once you hit 70 nights, the gifting will be upgraded to Diamond.
How To Earn Points
After creating a Hilton Honors membership account, you can start booking rooms for your stay. For every dollar you spend, 10 base points will be rewarded.
Some of the popular ways to earn points are through hotel stays, Credit Card payments, dining, point promotions, and point purchase and point transfer. The points you earn when you book a stay at Hilton are based on the price of the room.
The hotels owned by Hilton including DoubleTree, Motto, Embassy Suites, Signia, Conrad, Tempo, and LXR Hotels and Resorts will reward you 10 points per dollar you spend. On the other hand, Tru and Home2 by Hilton reward you 5 points per dollar spent on room booking.

Hilton periodically offers promotions on rooms for members that benefit them to earn additional points. To access the offers, you can visit the promotion link from your Hilton account and earn extra points.
For example, you can earn double Hilton Honors points every night of your stay when you book a trip of 2x Points Package.
The other option to earn points is the dining program where you can link your rewards account with a credit card for dining purchases.
By using car rental service, you can earn Hilton Honors points and also receive discounts for rental. You can earn 500 base points and additional points that ranges from 500 to 4500 on each day when you rent a car.
The members can buy Hilton Honors points directly from Hilton for additional points if needed to book a reservation. Sometimes, Hilton offers discounts on purchasing points.
You can also transfer your points and American Express allows you to transfer points to Hilton Honors.
The other options for point-earning include participating in online surveys through Hilton’s Guest Opinion Rewards partner. You can also take rides with Lyft using a linked Lyft account where you can earn 2x points per dollar spent.
You can earn double points by achieving the membership tier levels and the members with elite level status can earn points faster and receive bonus points.
How To Redeem Points
After logging in to your Hilton account, find a Hilton hotel and provide your search criteria. Select the “Use Points” button along with searching the hotel location. When you confirm the reservation, the points will be automatically deducted from your account.
You can view your current point balance by logging in to your account. The available points will be displayed on the account homepage.
The earned points will expire after 24 months of inactivity. As long as you make purchases, you continue to earn points and the points will not expire.
How to Sign Up
Anyone above 18 years can join for free in the Hilton Honors Rewards program. To create an account you can self-register by adding an email address, phone number, and other valid details. You can visit hilton.com or download the Hilton app for enrollment.
After creating your account, you can start earning points by making reservations for hotel stays at any Hilton location. You will be rewarded 1500 bonus points on your first stay. When you stay for two nights, you will be offered 3000 bonus points.
The existing members can simply log in to their account with their user name and password.
The members can cancel the Hilton Honors account anytime through their website. By contacting or chatting with Hilton support, you can request for deactivating your account and provide your valid details.
