27 Banks and Their Direct Deposit Time (Complete List)

Direct deposit is the most common way that employees receive their paychecks these days, and one of the main reasons why is that the employees don’t even have to visit a bank to access their funds.

Most Workers can expect their paycheck direct deposit to show on their bank account between 12:00am and 6:30am. The time of day a bank posts direct deposit is different for every bank.

For example, Wells Fargo typically posts by 6:30 am EST, Citibank posts between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m, and Bank of America deposits are posted immediately.

They can start using their money as soon as it lands in their account, which is incredibly convenient. Not only is it easier for you to access your money, but it’s safer than carrying around a physical paycheck as well.

If you’re not getting your paycheck deposited directly into your account, you are adding extra time between getting paid and actually being able to use your cash.

Plus, you’re taking a chance that your paycheck could get lost or stolen. Since different banks have varying direct deposit times, it’s important to know when your bank makes these deposits so that you know when your money is available for withdrawal.
